wrcd_holiday_event.jpg

The WRCD met at the home of Larry and Margit Olsen in Corona on December 20, 2009. The holiday event was highlighted with a special meal planned by the group. The main dish was Chateaubriand with the rest of the meal planned around it.

Guests started with a flute of Champagne and appetizers consisting of raw vegetables, hot crab/cheese dip, and liver pâté. The party moved to the dining room for a spring mix salad with red and white wine to drink. The Chateaubriand with Béarnaise sauce along with scalloped potatoes and onion cheese casserole was enjoyed by all. The meal was finished with chocolate cream pie, cheesecake and coffee.

Enjoyed over a four hour period the event progressed as planned.

A gift exchange using the secret Santa concept was also enjoyed by the group.

It was a true holiday event with all the joys of the holiday season.
