What is a Neighbor 2 Neighbor Representative?
A Neighbor 2 Neighbor Representative is a volunteer position within Riverside County Democratic Party. As a Neighborhood Rep, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the RCDP by helping to engage and mobilize Democratic voters in your community. The practice of organizing locally goes back decades and the role is often referred to as a “precinct captain”. A N2N Program allows reps to define their “neighborhood”, whether it’s their voting precinct, gated community, apartment complex, or simply the street they live on. What Does a Neighbor 2 Neighbor Rep Do?
As a Neighbor 2 Neighbor Rep, you’ll:
- Build Relationships: Engage with local Democrats, fostering connections within your neighborhood through community-building activities, resource sharing, and election-related efforts.
- Support Candidates: Help support the California Democratic Party’s endorsed Democratic candidates through outreach and organizing efforts.
- Communication Liaison: Serve as a trusted link between RCDP and your neighborhood. Share important updates, initiatives, and actions that keep voters informed and involved.
- Local Club Involvement: Become an active member of your local Democratic clubs, attending meetings and staying connected with the broader Democratic community.
What’s in It for You?
As a Neighborhood Representative, you’ll receive:
- A Linktree Toolkit for engaging your neighborhood, including resources and tips to help you succeed. The toolkit includes individualized access to an app with your Neighborhood Democrats and their contact information, scripts, templates, and more!
- Support and Training from the RCDP’s Political Action Committee, ensuring you’re equipped with the skills and knowledge you need. Meetings are held at least once a month on Zoom to share strategies and to provide training on deep canvassing, phone banking, de-escalation techniques and more.
- Coordination from the California Democratic Party down to your neighborhood. We move together in coordination so Democratic voters are receiving the same messaging and outreach no matter where they live in California. This level of coordination also means we are all sharing information and data so we can be strategic and succinct in our voter outreach efforts. Voter information flyers, candidate slate door hangers, and other resources are also paid for and provided to all our N2N reps to use in their engagement and mobilization of Democratic voters.
This is your chance to help organize, inspire, and mobilize your neighborhood – empowering voters and taking action for a better future. Together, we can create stronger connections and make real change at the local level!
Ready to take the next step and be part of this grassroots movement? Sign up today and become a Neighborhood Representative!
