2025 JFK Awards Celebrates Success!

Susan Dye · December 16, 2025 ·

The Riverside County Democratic Party is thrilled to announce that our 2025 JFK Awards, held on December 6th in Rancho Mirage, was an outstanding success. The event brought together dedicated Democrats from across the county for an afternoon of community, connection, and commitment to our shared values.

Thanks to the generous support of our donors and the tireless efforts of our volunteers, we exceeded our fundraising goals and strengthened our foundation for the important work ahead. The enthusiasm and energy in the room reflected the dedication of Riverside County Democrats to building a brighter future for our communities.

The event honored exceptional leaders who embody the values and spirit of service that President Kennedy championed. This year’s honorees included:

  • Person of Valor: Eileen Stern, introduced by Terri Ketover
  • Audacity of Hope: Congressman Dr. Raul Ruiz, introduced by Congressman Mark Takano
  • Catalyst for Change: Jenny Black, CEO of Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest, introduced by Darrah DiGiorgio Johnson
  • Union Strong: Adam Weinberger, President of CSEA, introduced by Mark Ramos, Chair of the Los Angeles Democratic Party
  • Independent Journalism: Ben Meiselas, Founder of MeidasTouch, introduced by Leigh McGowan, Politics Girl

Proceeds from the event will support our ongoing efforts to develop and support progressive Democratic candidates for office, increase Democratic voter registration, and engage with communities throughout Riverside County. We’re grateful to everyone who attended, contributed, and made this event possible.

As we look ahead, we’re energized and ready to continue fighting for the issues that matter most to Riverside County families, from affordability and healthcare to equal rights and protections for all.

Thank you to our supporters for making this our most successful fundraiser yet. Together, we’re building a brighter, more equitable Riverside County.
